 Geographies of Conflict Project

In August 2003,the Israeli-Palestinian-German project group "Geographies of conflict" was launched in IPCC Jerusalem, followed by an ongoing program of international workshops and seminars for Israeli, Palestinian German and European architectural students and architects. In these workshops the participants engaged in an intensive, joint urban research process that investigated geographies of collision, focusing on the connection between actual and imagined landscapes that unite and separate disconnected urban realities, and exposing their spatial and architectural articulation. Geographies of conflict is sustained by an international network including: the International Peace and Cooperation Centre IPCC (East Jerusalem), Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem and the University of Arts, Berlin.
