IPCC - The Mediation and Arbitration Center
The Mediation and Arbitration Center

 The Mediation and Arbitration Center

The Jerusalem Mediation and Arbitration Center has been established as a joint IPCC/JIIS endeavor. The center functions as a forum for conflict resolution between the various ethnic, national and religious groups in and around the city. The unique work of this center is founded on Palestinian and Israeli law, a factor which levels the playing field, avoids contradictory premises between the two systems, and promotes mutual respect. The center's mediation and arbitration services are offered to those Palestinian and Israeli institutions, companies and individuals who are involved in Palestinian-Israeli disputes and approach the center voluntarily. Recently, the center has joined with the American Bar Association Dispute Settlement Section to organize training programs in dispute resolution for Palestinians, Israelis and Americans. The program features distinguished American and Israeli jurists and leadership of IPCC and JIIS. Trainees included professionals from Palestinian and Israeli NGOs who often find themselves confronted with multi-cultural and multi-ethnic disputes.
