On the 5th of February an Italian delegation of 26 persons, including 13 MPs from the Italian Parliament, visited IPCC’s Jerusalem office. They were introduced to IPCC’s research on Jerusalem issues, in particular the scenario-building. Through assessing different possible development in the city, taking into account political, economic, urban, cultural and psycho-social variables, the IPCC is outlining possible scenarios for Jerusalem’s future and strategies needed to move the city towards the best-possible scenario. The Italian delegation also learned about the urban intervention programs conducted by the IPCC in East Jerusalem in the form of planning and zoning of several Palestinian neighborhoods with high level of community involvement.
